Mission: Reduce Global Warming

One of the most critical challenges facing mankind in this century is the threat of global warming. It is no longer just rumor it is scientific fact. The primary cause of global warming is the rising levels of CO2caused by burning fossil fuels. Across the globe billions of people heat thier homes, offices, and water by burning gas, oil, or and consuming electricty, often generated by burning coal. Only by reducing our reliance on these legacy energy sources and switch to clean soures can we hope to save the planet for our children and grandchildren.

Zonbak's Contribution

Our ultimate objective is to help save our planet by reducing our dependence on non-renewable sources of energy and the greenhouse gas emissions that go along with them. For each 3 barrels of oil we replace with solar thermal energy we eliminate 1 ton of CO2 emissions. With 1 million Zonbak solar thermal panels in operation generating 4.8 gigawatts of solar thermal power, this would eliminate almost a million tons of CO2 emissions per hour that would generated by burning 2.8 million barrels of oil. We realize that these goals are only attainable if we make solar thermal technology both affordable and easy to install. All of our design, delivery, and installation decisions focus on one thing: cost. Because we employ a high-speed continuous roll process to fabricate our panels out of relatively inexpensive materials we can deliver inexpensive solar thermal energy at 1/16 the cost of photovoltaic solar panels.

Because our panels flexible and lightweight, less than 20 pounds (9 Kg), they can be shipped worldwide via UPS or other delivery service. The simple process of heating air and circulating with a fan also makes it feasible that a homeowner can install their own panels, especiallly with our solar farm design. An inexpensive solar thermal panel only stays inexpensive if you don't have to pay thousands of dollars in installation costs.


A simple thing such as Zonbk's autmated duct valve can reduce energy consumption. The valve controls the airflow through a Zonbak soalr thermal panel generating heated air provided solely by clean solar energy.

Reducing carbon emissions is the most critical challenge facing mankind in the coming decades.
